Technical Writing
  • Developed annual operating budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
  • Wrote business proposals resulting in the introduction of new equipment and new manufacturing techniques to expand manufacturing capabilities.
  • Wrote request for proposal for Enterprise Resource Planning software acquisition
  • Wrote manufacturing proposal for a water bottling facility to process and bottle spring water.

Project and Operation Management

Software Development
  • Developed a manufacturing inventory control system designed to control all aspects of sales order entry, sales and production planning, MRP, work order control and customer invoicing.
  • Developed product-costing software to predict the cost of product labour, materials and fixed costs.
  • Developed systems to automate the generation of product ingredient, nutrient and allergen information for manufactured food products.
  • Created a graphical shop-floor scheduling system to create and track manufacturing work orders.
  • Created product recall software to track the movement of materials and products through the supply chain to facility product recall.
Research and Development
  • Created 50+ food formulations for the confection industry.
  • Implemented the only commercial application of post-tempering in North America, resulting in a substantial increase in shelf life of chocolate-coated confections.
  • Reformulated over 20 food items to eliminate trans fatty acids in foods.
